Wikkid originally formed in the spring of 2010 by founding members Tim Knisely, Jay Diesel, David Seifert, and Brad Davis. With their high-energy stage presence, Wikkid quickly gained momentum and built up a huge fan base in the Tampa Bay area. 2011 saw the departure of founding members Davis & Seifert, but with the additions of Owen Law & Matt Lupori, the band showed no signs of slowing down.

Along the way, Wikkid managed to collect several local awards and honors. In 2011 David Seifert & Tim Knisely both received individual endorsement deals from Spawn Guitars. That same year, Drummer Jay Diesel won the “Sexiest Drummer of 2011" award, as well as the“Sexiest Musician of 2011" award at the 2011 KAM-BABS Sexiest Musicians of Tampa Bay Awards Ceremony in Tampa. In 2012, Wikkid won the award for “TBMN Favorite Rock Band of 2011" at the 4th Anuual TBMN Music Awards, presented by the Tampa Bay Music Network. Jay Diesel also won the “Mayhem Magazine Drummer of the Year” Award at the same event as well.

On November 28th, 2012, Wikkid announced that Knisely would be leaving the band in December, and relocate to Indiana. The band had their farewell performance two weeks later on December 14th at Niagra Tap in Largo. With Knisely out of the band, the remaining members started holding auditions for a new lead singer. Unfortunately, Wikkid could not find a suitable replacement for Knisely, causing Diesel to announce his own departure from the band on March 1st, 2013. Following the departure of the last remaining founding member, Wikkid announced that they were officially disbanded on March 6th, 2013.

Following his departure from Wikkid, Tim Knisely relocated to Indiana, where he currently sings in a local band called Deadly Devotion.

Following the breakup of Wikkid, Jay Diesel would eventually join Drop Shot as their new drummer. Diesel has currently formed a new, yet unnamed, band. Diesel's new band will open for Wikkid at both up-coming reunion shows.

Wikkid has had one reunion show since their farewell show on December 14th, 2012. Their first reunion show took place at CJ's Saloon in Riverview on February 22nd, 2013. November's up-coming reunion shows will be Wikkid's first time performing together in over a year and a half.
