According to Kotaku, Nintendo has released a new firmware update for the Wii U. There's a few notable changes, and one doesn't make much sense. The update weighs in at 700 MB. Here are some of the bigger changes according to Kotaku:
1. Original Wii games can now be played on the Wii U's controller screen. This has been something that's been wanted for a long time. The catch? The buttons don't work. You will actually have to use the Wii-mote to play the games on the controller screen. A controller to play a game displayed on a controller. The controller has a sensor built in, however.
2. USB keyboards are now supported for faster typing and web surfing.
3. You can save passwords, view pdf files and scrub go through videos using the triggers.
