The retail version of the Wii U’s “Wii Sports Club” is now available, Nintendo announced today in a press release obtained by Examiner.
While the digital versions of all five sports are now available and can be purchased in the Nintendo eShop on Wii U, those who want a physical copy can now pick it up at video game stores worldwide. However, those who want to try the games before they decide on a purchase can take advantage of a free 48-hour free trial of all five sports available in the Nintendo eShop on Wii U until Dec. 31.
An enhanced version of the Wii classics “Wii Sports,” “Wii Sports Club” features five different sports, baseball, boxing, golf, tennis and bowling with enhanced control and GamePad functionality.
Even if you own the original, Nintendo said in a press release yesterday that this is the version of the game that you’ll want to have. According to Examiner’s review of “Wii Sports Club” this December, which then consisted of Bowling, Tennis and Golf, the addition of online options makes for a new gameplay experience as well.
“With so many features packed into Wii Sports Club, players of all ages will feel like they are playing the game for the first time,” Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing said in the press release. “Wii Sports Club is the definitive version of Wii Sports and the perfect showcase for the unique game-play experiences enabled by the Wii U GamePad controller.”
