"Widow On The Hill" is a true-story Lifetime movie based on the case of Donna Sommerville and Hamilton A. Somerville aka Hamilton Somerville Jr. "Widow On The Hill" is directed by Peter Svatek and based on the Vanity Fair article. The true crime murder mystery stars Natasha Henstridge, James Brolin and Jewel Straite. The real names were changed to Linda Dupree and Hank Cavanaugh for the film.
"Widow On The Hill" synopsis/plot: When a sexy nurse is hired to take care of the wife of a wealthy man, his children are leery about the young nurse's intentions. But, when the wife and the husband die, their children suspect the busty blonde nurse of murder.
The movie is based on the death of a Virginia man who died in 2001. Police say his wife, Donna Somerville, killed her husband to inherit $15 million. Donna Somerville was arrested for his murder in 2003. In 2004, the hospice nurse was found not guilty of poisoning Hamilton Somerville, according to the Washington Post. The man's daughters sued Donna Somerville and won in 2010.
