If you've been to Las Vegas, you understand the buffet experience. But if you haven't visited Wicked Spoon at the Cosmopolitan, you haven't experienced the best buffet Vegas has to offer. It's so good that instead of being called a buffet, it's rather a food hall. From the moment you step into the food hall, you're stepping into luxury, and you know right away, this is not your average buffet.
Instead, Wicked Spoon offers top-notch international cuisine from world-class chefs, prepared onsite with fresh ingredients. From Spanish paella, to Asian delights, to homestyle American cuisine, Wicked Spoon offers something for every palate, and even daily creations whipped up by the chefs onsite, experimenting daily with a variety of ingredients to tantalize the ever demanding foodie. Of course, you also have your American staples like prime rib and fried chicken. But how about some leg of lamb to kick it up a notch?
I started off with some delicious fresh salads, like kale and Ceasar, which were just divine. I also whet my palate with delicious, fresh cheese like Manchego and some fresh fig...you won't see that at just any buffet. You could also get a bottle of wine for just 20 bucks here...fantastic!
Next, I moved on to some heartier cuisine like good old Mac and Cheese. This is not just any Mac and Cheese. Ther is actually a Mac and Cheese station, where a chef prepares your American favorite to your liking, much like an omelet station. That's obviously a favorite. There are also fresh crab legs, and a delicious polenta with grilled shrimp. The fried chicken is superb, as is the lamb. And you have all the sides to go with it, like cream of corn and creamed spinach.
It really is tempting to keep on indulging, but when you get a glimpse of the amazing dessert station, you know you have to stop and make some room. This is the best dessert station I have ever seen, with chocolate-covered strawberries topped with Oreos and Heath Bar crunch, hot chocolate soufflés, the most exquisite chocolate coffee and raspberry rice krispie treats, macaroons, and gelato!
If you're in Vegas, you really have to experience Wicked Spoon for yourself. It's located inside the beautiful Cosmopolitan hotel right on the strip, next to Bellagio. They're open 7 days a week and even offer Happy Hour from 5 to 7 pm. Happy eating!
