Broadway’s biggest blockbuster and winner of 35 awards, including three Tony Awards and a Grammy, returns to Hennepin Theatre Trust’s Orpheum Theatre. Beginning Wednesday, September 18th and continuing until Sunday, October 27th, Minneapolis audiences will once again be delighted by this story of the witches of Oz.
Before the arrival of Dorothy, there were two other girls in the Land of Oz – one beautiful and popular, the other an outcast with skin of green. “Wicked” details the story of how these girls who were once friends, eventually became the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good that we know today from the beloved “Wizard of Oz” tale.
Tickets are now on sale for “Wicked” and start at $49 depending upon performance time and seating preference. For more information or to buy tickets, call 1-800-982-2787, visit the State Theatre Box Office at 805 Hennepin Avenue in Minneapolis or visit HennepinTheatreTrust.org.
