Wichita Falls man sentenced to 45 years in prison for $90,000 diamond ring theft

Wichita Falls resident Brian Maurice Fuller was sentenced today to 45 years in prison for stealing a $90,000 diamond ring from a lady in a parking lot. The 53-year old victim also said he brutally knocked her to the ground during the robbery which forced her to have five surgeries to recover.

She suffered chipped teeth and a broken nose as her ring was ripped from her finger.

Fuller was also sentenced to a concurrent 40 year prison term for a robbery charge.

The robbery occurred in the parking lot of a Whole Foods Grocery Store on Preston Road in the North Dallas area on January 25, 2010.

Wichita County Sheriff David Duke and his deputies dug up the backyard of Fuller who resided at 2620 Amherst Street in Wichita Falls, Texas following Fuller's arrest as they searched for the stolen diamond ring.

Fuller was escorted to the Wichita County Jail following his arrest where he resided until he was transported to the Dallas County Jail for trial. He vanished though after he a clerical error resulted in him being released on a $50,000 bond instead of the $500,000 bond which a judge had actually set for him.

His trail went cold until he was re-arrested in Anderson County located in East Texas after he appeared on America's Most Wanted Television show.

He was then transported back to the Dallas jail where he stayed until he was sentenced today in court.

Fuller had previously been sentenced to 30 years in prison for Aggravated Robbery for stealing a diamond from another woman in Highland Park, Texas. He had served a portion of that sentence before being paroled out in time to commit this latest crime.

The stolen ring was described as being a 7.5 carat pear-shaped diamond.
