Why you should book an engagement photo session before your wedding (Photos)

The date is set, and your wedding is just around the corner. You've got everything under control: Dress, flowers, menu, venue, and photographer. Photographer. You've seen their work, however don't have a clue how you'll ultimately look through their lens. You're going to have a rehearsal dinner, so why not do the same for your pictures? Book an engagement photo session.

The best way to establish a trustful connection with your photographer is to work with them before your wedding. It's best if this happens before your big day. Choose a spot that you like and feel comfortable with, someplace that's meaningful. Perhaps it's where you two had your first kiss or he proposed. Let the memories play their part in creating the perfect romantic mood. Slip away into the fairytale of your love before you have to handle the vendors, guests, and all the members of your family. Make it completely and entirely your day.

An engagement shoot is a great opportunity for the photographer to meet with their new client and make them into a friend. It's a time when you can freely talk and learn about each other. There's not a ton pressure on everyone like there is on the big wedding day. An engagement photo session should be relaxed and fun, like meeting new people. Get to know the couple and how they interact, their comfort zone, their way of showing the affection. Never miss an opportunity to meet the couple in this very special way.

Engagement sessions are beneficial for both the couple and the photographer. So snap happy, and be happy!
