Why was Boston ranked #12 out of 25 American cities for singles?

I was invited on the DA Show on 98.5 The Sports Hub last evening to give my take on this article by TravelLeisure.com, which ranked Boston #12 out of 25 American cities for its singles scene (or apparently lack thereof).

Yes, you read that correctly. We were ranked #12. We were even ranked behind Providence, RI, which DA and I found very suspect, indeed.

Our conversation became sidetracked since The Client List starring Jennifer Love Hewitt had just finished airing, so we never did come to a conclusion as to why Boston was ranked so low on the list.  Check out the article, and then tell me -- what are your thoughts?  Do you agree with the article?  How could we, as a city, do better for our single residents?

And if you're newly single and still not over it, visit BrokenHeartedGirl.com to talk about it!

The chicks need to be less bitchy, while the dudes need to be less douchey. Also if people were a tad bit friendly it would be better all around. I am a very outgoing person, and I love to meet new people. Not always that easy in Boston. Even when I go on bar crawls meant for socializing and networking, not everyone is super friendly. However I guess it starts at home. If we as Bostonians tried to be a little more out going, it would go a long way.
