Why try a vegan week?

US VegWeek is about to begin. The celebration kicks off on Monday, April 21. Scheduled to start the day before Earth Day, VegWeek celebrates the numerous benefits of choosing vegetarian foods. Baltimore residents can taste test those benefits in local restaurants throughout the week.

Great Sage in Clarksville invites you to Flights and Bites, where you can pair white wines with vegan food for $13 on April 23 and 24. Pizza lovers can get ten percent off V for Vegan slices at Two Boots Pizza all week. There will also be ten percent off vegan items throughout VegWeek at The Land of Kush (and all items are vegan). Anyone who mentions VegWeek at the Van Gough Café can get ten percent off at that restaurant, as well. The Judge’s Bench in Ellicott City is featuring $1 off select vegan menu items, also all week. Even if you're not vegan it might be fun to take advantage of these offers.

"Councilmember Mosby is on board, pledging to go veg for the entire week along with 5,000 people nationwide," says Sarah DeLucia, Communications Manager for Compassion Over Killing (COK).
