Tiger Woods admitted to bedding 120 women. Why did he lie to Elin Nordegren about his 121st affair?
Tiger undoubtedly knew his 121st affair – a one night stand with Raychel Coudriet would be proverbial “ straw that broke the camel’s back.”
Elin Nordegren was so enraged at Tiger about this particular affair, that she decided to once again, actively pursue a divorce.
What Was it about Tiger’s 121st Affair?
What was it about this particular sexual encounter that drove Elin Nordegren to abandon all plans and hopes for reconciliation and proceed full speed ahead with a divorce?
3 things:
• Raychel was the 21 year old daughter of one of their neighbors in the gated community where Tiger and Elin lived.
• The tryst allegedly took place on a couch in Tiger’s office near a crib belonging to one of his kids. Tiger also made out with Raychel Coudriet near his house while Elin was at home.
• Tiger omitted Raychel’s name from the list of his 120 sex partners that he submitted during his sex addiction treatment at the sex rehab in Mississippi.
Why Tiger Left Raychel’s Name off the List
Tiger may have omitted Raychel Coudriet’s name from his 4-page list of 120 names because he knew what Elin’s reaction would be.
But Tiger might have been better off taking his chances, and telling the truth about this particular one-night stand.
Leaving the name of his young neighbor off his list of conquests, and saying nothing about it, ended up causing Tiger more harm than good.
By refusing to come clean, Tiger further undermined the broken trust he was trying rebuild.
Why a Cheater May Refuse to Come Clean About His Affair
Even when an affair is exposed, a cheater still may not come clean
There are several reasons why a cheater might lie, omit facts, or flat out refuse to talk about the details or circumstances surrounding his affair.
Embarrassment – the cheater is too embarrassed to talk about his behavior.
Guilt – the cheater may be too consumed with guilt to discuss the affair.
Fear of his Partner’s Reaction – the cheater may be afraid that his mate will rant and rave, throw things, or become violent.
Concern for the Infidelity Victim’s Feelings – the cheater may be concerned that revealing all the facts will result in additional pain to his mate
Inability to Express Himself - the cheater may not know how to verbalize his behavior, how to put his thoughts into words, or how to tactfully describe what he has done.
He Won’t Be Forgiven – the cheater may feel that his behavior was so despicable that his partner will never be able to forgive him for what he did.
Talking Won’t Help - the cheater may feel that his partner’s mind is already made up, he’s already a condemned man., and nothing he says will help.
Exit Affair – Having an affair was the cheater’s way of ending the marriage or relationship. Now that he’s accomplished this purpose, there’s really nothing to say.
John Edwards Lied to Elizabeth and Everyone Else
Tiger Woods is not the only cheating celebrity who failed to come clean to his wife abut his affair.
John Edwards is another high profile cheater who omitted pertinent facts, and blatantly lied about his, while pretending to confess everything to his wife.
His mistress, Rielle Hunter addressed this in her irecent interview on the Oprah Winfrey Show.
For two years John Edwards lied to Elizabeth and everyone else about being the father of Rielle Hunter’s, daughter Quinn. He only confessed to being Quinn’s father the month a tell-all book by his former aide came out.
How to Get the Truth from a Cheater
The cheater’s creed is “Lie and Deny”.
It may take several conversations with the cheater before you get the whole truth.
You may also need to have a neutral third party present, or enlist the services of a qualified professional who is trained to handle issues of infidelity.
One important thing to keep in mind is that it’s impossible to reconcile with the cheater, or rebuild the relationship, as long as lies are being told.

This article as many other articles are full of crap! If anybody believe this last babe they are nuts. the whole thing smells fishy since she waited until the day before The Masters tournament to talk about it. If it was so devastating why wouldn't she come out with this story when all the rest came out. If I were Elin I would think long and hard about this one. The news media just eats this stuff up. Think about it fokls!!
I always felt that, Elin Nordegren was going to divorce Tiger Woods after his savage betrayal and world-wide humiliation and that Tiger has known this from the beginning. Elin is a woman with moral principles, dignity and self respect and she would never stay with a pervert man like Tiger, whom she does not respect and trust anymore. Elin agreed to put the divorce on hold for six months, so Tiger could get rehab and return to his career. Tiger had hoped Elin would change her mind but she did not. The six months are almost up and Elin will divorce Tiger soon and who can blame her? Elin is young and beautiful and I hope she can find happiness with a good, decent man with moral values, that will love, honor and respect her as she deserves.
If Tiger could patent his "putter" he'd have men lined up to buy, so they too, could improve their stroke!
Some people seem to feel sorry for her, yet others say Elin Nordegren is a gold digger, but whatever your thoughts, she will walk away from the divorce with a hell of alot more than she came into it with. Whether some feel she is deserving of this, opinions seem to vary, but whatever your thoughts, its hard to understand why these women who marry these rich and famous men think they have a gold chattel below that would prevent their husbands from ever cheating on them. What vanity, good grief! Come out from under your vainess, stupidity, and rose colored glasses, yours is no different from any other womans. Its just a matter of being realistic when you marry these type of men, knowing that at some point, they are going to find someone else more desirable and cheat. Their money and power allows them that luxury! Either deal with or don't marry them, but for heavens sake, come out from under your illusions that you have something gold or platinum that will forever keep him faithful in your boudoir. This woman Elin knew exactly what she was getting into when she asked her golfer friend to introduce her to Tiger Woods. She schemed and set the stage, and she got what she wanted. When her looks and beauty started to fade as anyone as seen from her pictures, Tiger started to stray and seek out other beauties. So is the life of the rich and famous. Hard to summon up any sympathy for this woman. No education, worked as a nanny, most should feel she lucked out Big time! Let it Go
