Why send paper invites through Snail Mail? Send invitations on-line without paying

Be frugal. Be green. Enjoy the party.

Being frugal is a state of mind and it also sometimes helps people "be green" without even realizing it! Having a Holiday party? Need to send invites out? STOP buying them at the store and mailing them out through snail mail. Almost everyone has a computer, or email, either at work, or home. Most people probably have a Smart Phone or some other handheld device that can connect to email, too. So save money and email invites for FREE. Save the planet by using less paper! And no mail truck eating up all that gas to deliver those invites.

Evite and My Punch Bowl are FREE services and both offer fantastic free evites. Great designs, great colors, themes for everything imaginable. Did I mention the invites are FREE, so saving money is guaranteed. But that is not all, send invites this way and people can RSVP right through the invite and tracking is easy for the party giver!

Evite is more geared toward just sending invites if that is what is preferred. What kind of invites are available? EVERYTHING. Casual dinner party, wedding, engagement, housewarming, bridal shower, birthday parties, happy hour, professional events and even game night. It provides tips for entertaining, it has a spot to send eCards (in case people want to be totally frugal and "green" and not send paper cards through the mail at all). Sign up for free right here.

My Punch Bowl is more of a party planning site. Sign up for free here. It starts with the free invites and being able to track RSVPs, but it also provides a whole "event planning" experience. It starts off by asking questions about the event, the budget, helps decide on a date for the event if so desired. Once all the minor questions have been answered, it will also help choose a location based on a zip code (this option can be skipped if it is not needed). As for the invite: people can choose one of the pre-designed ones, or create their own. Anything related to an event, can be planned right at this site including social networking your invite to facebook, twitter and other sites, registry and a to-do list.

Think that's it? Wrong. After the party there is a place to send free Thank You eCards, post pictures up with Flickr and videos can be posted with YouTube.

My Punch Bowl also has eCards to send for every occasion. Thanksgiving, birthdays, apology and just about anything that can be purchased at the card store can be chosen at My Punch Bowl and sent FOR FREE. No postage needed. And all the cards can be customized with pictures, video and notes.

Be frugal, be green, be partying!
