Rebel Wilson has certainly carved out a name for herself in the entertainment industry. The curvy comedian’s weight is often poked fun at in movies….but she seems to be just fine with that. From starring as “Fat Amy” in “Pitch Perfect” to Brynn in “Bridesmaids,” Wilson’s individuality has made her a standout actress. Why then, according to a Radar Online report dated Tuesday, October 8, is she considering weight loss? Reportedly diet companies are battling out who gets to sign her, despite the fact that she comes with a hefty price tag.
“Rebel is asking for a fortune, but still looking at all the offers and is not ready to rule it out yet,” a Radar insider reveals.
What could possibly convince Rebel to sign up? Reportedly, the money is what could seal the deal.
“Rebel would be doing this strictly for the money,” the source says. “She’s built a comic persona out of being heavy and nobody in her world or at ABC is pressuring her to lose weight. It would only be for the cash and the exposure.”
In 2012, Wilson blogged about her efforts to lose 55 pounds with another weight management company.
If this once again turns out to be the case, it is reasonable to believe that Wilson will be a comediac spokesperson that will likely draw attention to the advertised program. However, it sounds like nothing is in stone.
Jenny Craig confirmed to Radar that Wilson isn't currently in contract with them, nor was she in the past.
