Why President Obama is an advocate for quality education?

President Barack Obama has advocated for higher education accessibility and quality for most his tenure. The president like many people believes strongly quality education can change individuals, neighborhoods, communities, and nations.

The quality of education in the US is not at the level expected of a major world power. President Obama is correctly convinced the U.S.A. cannot continue to maintain its envious status in the world if the country’s education system continues in its current path.

In1983, the U.S.A. National Commission on Excellence in Education concluded, “If an unfriendly foreign power had attempted to impose on America the mediocre educational performance that exists today, we might well have viewed it as an act of war. As it stands, we have allowed this to happen to ourselves.”

Since the education quality problem is our own creation, the only solution is war on our own culture of accepting mediocre educational performance in our schools, colleges and universities.
