A frugal lifestyle is easy to attain, but who would want to live one if they didn't have to? And why?
Anyone, really.
And there are various reasons why, such as:
-
Holding onto your money. Why give it all away?
-
To feel safe. To be sure you have money on hand for emergency situations. So you know you can handle the loss of a job due to layoff or injury.
-
Deciding to cut back on hours at work to spend more time with your family, or to do things you have always wanted to do.
-
So you can save for a family vacation, to do something special with your children before they spread their wings and fly.
-
To put money away for college tuition, for yourself or your children.
-
To save for retirement. Who knows if Social Security will even be available when you need it.
-
So that your family can tread more lightly on the Earth. Purchasing used clothing, furnishings, toys and household needs will not only save you money. It will also ensure less waste in landfills that are already to full.
-
To teach your children core values.
For what reasons would you live a more frugal lifestyle?
