A growing number of LA's beautiful bodies, aware that the GMO Free claim ranks 4th in % Unit growth on a year to date basis in all of food, are choosing to buy products made without genetically modified organisms (GMOs) linked to serious health risks. In spite of this increasing US-demand for products made without GMOs, Hershey's has no plans to change its U.S. formulas. However, Hershey's is currently reformulating its Europe-destined products to meet non-GMO requirements of Asda, a Wal-Mart subsidiary and Hershey's exclusive retailer in the U.K.
The EU expansion is part of Hershey's emerging market strategy focusing on Latin America and Asia.
A small selection of Hershey’s products are currently available in the UK, where its sales are dwarfed by US-based candy rival Mars.
