Why Jesus' yolk differs from the shackles of postmodern ideology

The Eternal Word of God became man so that He could transform our suffering from meaningless loss, and pointless physical degeneration, into mature perseverance in faith, and a sign of graced compassion in the charity which seeks not one's own lessening of pain, but the lessening of the suffering of others in the hope born of Resurrection.

But then modern man, and especially postmodern man (and woman), has sought to transform this Revelation of sanctity and salvation into a meaningless pity party inspired by nihilistic materialism, relieved only by a despair bathed hedonistic, lifelong, self-absorbed orgy of other-distructive narcissism.

Think about it.

On the one hand we have the yolk of Jesus: “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.”

Many people mistakingly think that this means that we are pulling Jesus, our 'Lord.' But, in Truth a yolk ties two beasts of burden together for the hard work ahead. In effect, Jesus is offering to work right next us, as the stronger One, in bearing our burden. His Cross is proof. Name me one earthly king, or queen, willing to yolk up next to a beast of burden to relieve their work-load!

On the other hand we have Kings like Barack Obama, who offer us their duplicitous hands, filled with goodies (entitlements), which entice us to support (vote) their fiefdom. But all they do is enslave us in their self-serving ideology. Similarly, Queens like Nancy Pelosi seek to free us from our religious consciences by protecting 'women's reproduce rights,' only to enslave us to sexual licentiousness through the convenience-candy of contraception. And lords of celebrity such as Hillary Clinton seek to free us from 'income inequality' through socialism masked as compassion, only to enslave us on thievery of the more fortunate--stealing the very spirit of self-willed charity from our once great nation. And, right in our own Catholic back yard, diva's like nuns-on-the-bus, and CRS, whore the Catholic name, seeking to free Americans from the yolk of Jesus' apostles (bishops), and their teaching authority, only to enslave us in covert support of abortion and the 'culture of death.'

It seems the choice is between burdening with Jesus or being a slave of kings and diva's. In this sense, through free will, we are all Pro-Choice. But the choice bears eternal consequences.
