When I first heard that Twitter was releasing a new video sharing app today, I was curious to find out exactly what it was. When I downloaded it, and it prompted me to sign in with Twitter, I automatically liked it since I despise having to type in a bunch of information to sign up for an app. Then the quick tutorial showed me how it worked, and I thought, "Wow this is not only easy, but it seems like a lot of fun!"
If I had to say one word about Vine, it would be...Wow. Seriously, what a cool app. Basically the way it works, is you touch the camera icon, put your finger on the screen for up to 6 seconds to record a video. You can take your finger off the screen and it will stop recording. So for example, today I recorded my mom making a smoothie for me. 1 second of her getting fruits, 1 second of her washing them, 1 second cutting a mango, 1 second putting it all in a Magic Bullet, and then 1 second of me drinking the smoothie. Imagine the possibilities!
Also, just like Instagram, there is a feed that shows peoples' videos, and what I found to be really awesome is while you scroll down the feed and pass over a video, it automatically starts playing, and by touching it you can pause it. You can also use hashtags to help people find your video by searching for: pets, food, etc.
You can share your videos on Facebook and Twitter with the press of a button. Although if you don't choose to share it immediately, I can't seem to find a way to share it later on. I'd like to see that feature in the future. I'd also like to have it so the camera will turn to the front camera in case I want to record myself or a group of friends and I. I'm assuming Vine will have a video filter where you can add a filter to your videos kind of like Instagram does when it makes your photos look pretty.
Overall I love this app, and it is quite addicting. If you haven't tried it out, take a trip to the app store and download it, play with it, post videos, I promise you will love it! If you have it, post a comment to let me know what you think!
