Why godly people don't dabble in the occult

The worldly view of today is that it's okay to dabble in the occult. It is not okay. God said it was never okay to do this. Yet, many people do it without realizing that they bring demonic infestation into their lives and the lives of the people around them.

Godly people know that doing occultic things only brings misery and suffering to themselves and to those whom they love. They don't do it because they are in total obedience to the Lord God. They know better than to afflict themselves with the consequences of that particular sin.

People who dabble into the occult don't know what they are getting into. They open up a can of worms for themselves. Some people do occultic stuff because they don't quite trust God to provide for them. They think there is "another way". Or they think it is fun. It's never fun. It always interferes with a person's spiritual growth as a Christian.

Some people dabble, then forget they dabbled. Then, later on in their lives, they don't feel like becoming a Christian. Or they don't feel like reading their bible or praying to God. Or they don't feel any connection to God. The reason is because they did occultic things and they never repented of them. If you ever were into the occult, you must say sorry to God that you did this and ask Him to forgive you. That will make that particular demon leave you.

Godly people know to put their total hearts into the Lord God. They know that to do otherwise means no salvation or heaven for them. Total obedience to the Lord God is required if you want to be saved. There is no in between. You are either for God or against God. If you dabble in the occult, you are obviously against God. He has to punish you for it even if you turn to Him.
