Why even the best apologies do not work after arguments

See also

If you have ever tried to apologize to your lover after getting into an argument, then you have probably found out that apologies are very hard. Not only are they hard for you to give in some cases but they are also very hard for the person receiving the apology to accept. In most cases an apology is not enough to make up for the argument that took place, and you must come to the realization that things will never be the same in your relationship; however, things can be better than ever before if you are willing to work at it.

To get a firm understanding of why even the best apology will not make up for the argument that took place, let’s do a little experiment.

Go into your kitchen and get a plate out of your cabinet.

Now, throw that plate on the ground. Did it break? Yes? Good.

Now, tell that plate how sorry you are and how you will never do it again.

Did the plate go back together the way it was before you broke it?

Unless you have some magic plate that accepts apologies and has no memory of you throwing it down and breaking it, you probably need to go get a broom and dust pan so you can pick up all of the pieces and discard of them.

Hopefully nobody actually went into the kitchen and broke a plate, but hopefully everyone reading this can understand that apologies after arguments work the same way.

When you argue with someone you do not necessarily break them all at once the way a plate breaks when you throw it to the ground; however, you can put a crack in them. Then, when the next argument occurs, you put another crack in them. These cracks never heal and sooner or later they cause the person to break. All of the apologies in the world cannot make the person whole again.

In his program, Magic of Making Up, T.W. Jackson teaches people how to make up with their lovers even if they are the only ones trying. You see, there are times when that plate is broken and there doesn’t seem to be anything that can be done to put it back together again.

T.W. Jackson says, “You may find it difficult to believe that almost every break up for whatever reason…infidelity, plain old lost passion, loss of interest, a stolen heart and worse…even the worst situations you can imagine…like men serving prison sentences have salvaged their relationships. Yes, even Ex-cons have got back together with girlfriends and wives after being away for years!”

If you have tried every way of apologizing that you can think of and nothing seems to work, then take a look at T.W. Jackson’s website and let him help you make up with your lover even if there seems to be no hope.
