Why doesn't Melissa Gorga sing on 'RHONJ?'

Although many "Real Housewives" have shown their singing careers on their shows, Gorga has chosen not to do so, and in a recent interview, she explained why.

“I chose not to give The Real Housewives any music this year… you know, sometimes you show when I hit the note and sometimes you don’t,” Gorga revealed to Andy Cohen on Sunday night's "Watch What Happens Live," according to an Aug. 4 report by Bustle.

During "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" season five, Gorga was seen meeting with Justin Timberlake‘s manager, Johnny Wright, who didn't seem sold on her music career. Throughout her scene with Wright, Gorga attempted to impress but fell short of doing so by hitting all the wrong notes and even forgetting the words to the song she was singing.

In a Sept. 2013 report by Radar Online, it was said that Gorga struck a "sour note" with fans and sounded "pitchy" during the scene.

Clearly, Gorga took note of the backlash she received last year and made the best decision for her future, but it's hard not to wonder why she'd hold back. After all, is she really wants to have a singing career, her part on the show is going to be what seals the deal. Otherwise, her fans may not be aware of what she's putting out.

"The Real Housewives of New Jersey" season six airs on Sunday nights at 8 p.m.
