Madonna (Madonna Louise Ciccone , born on August 16, 1958 in Bay City, Michigan) is just one of many celebrities who have embraced Kabbalah. Other examples are: Rosanne Barr, Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Mick Jagger, Winona Ryder, the late Elizabeth Taylor, Demi Moore Britney Spears, David and Victoria Beckham, Guy Ritchie and Barbara Streisand.
Madonna, an American singer, songwriter, actress, director, dancer and entrepreneur, has sold more than 300 million records worldwide and was named one of the "25 Most Powerful Women of the Twentieth Century" by Time Magazine.
Madonna has been seen for over ten years wearing a Red String Bracelet on her left hand. Why is this? Since 1998, when she recorded her album Ray of Light Madonna has been one of the best-known proponents of Kabbalah in modern Times.
“But what’s with the red string?” you may be asking. Well, red strings or ribbons have been used as a form of protection in many Cultures, including the ancient Greeks and Egyptians, and also in the folklore of Chinese; Ireland, Romania and India. Therefore, it’s not just Jewish or “Kabbalistic”. In fact, Kabbalah organizations are not promoting them very heavily.
Originally, red strings were wrapped around Rachel’s Tomb in Israel, and then cut into small pieces for bracelets, but this is not necessary. Procure a slightly elastic piece of red string. Have a friend of loved one wrap it around your left wrist. It doesn’t matter whether you are left- or right-handed; the left hand is closer to your heart! Have your friend tie seven knots in the string, saying the “Ben Porat” prayer. It goes “Ben Porat Yosef Alei Ayne”. In English we can say, “A charming son is Joseph, a son charming to the eye” This comes from Genesis 49.22.
There is an interesting story about a red thread in Genesis 38:27-30. Tamar was about to give birth to twin sons.
And it came about at the time she was giving birth, that behold, there were twins in her womb.
And it came about when she gave birth, that he (the infant) stretched out his hand. So the midwife took and bound a crimson thread on his hand, saying, "This one came out first."
And it came about, as he was drawing back his hand, behold, his brother emerged, and she said, "With what strength you have strengthened yourself!" And he (Judah) named him Perez.
Afterwards, his brother emerged, the one upon whose hand was the crimson thread, and he named him Zerah.
You can even start a trend among your friends wearing the Red String Bracelet as a substitute for “Friendship Bracelets”. This will protect you from the Evil Eye, but there is a catch! Rachel died while giving birth to her son Banjamin, and did not stand in the way of husband mayying her sister Leah, so she is the epitome of humility in the Bible. For the Red String Bracelet work, you must be humble, and be able to avoid envy. If you are not ready in this Way, then it is not for you.
