Why Do We Live So Small? The Crisis of Belief

Why, do we live so small? The Crisis of Belief

At times in life there may be a lot of things you’re uncertain of:

Is this pain going to last?

Is this struggle worth it?

Is independence or loneliness the life for me?

At times I think we get trapped in our own “little mind,” “little world” or “little problem.”

I say “little” not to be condescending, but with the emphasis that at times we can get so caught up with “Me” that we don’t realize there is a bigger world around “Us.”

There is so much life, space & travel to live.

There is so much pain, suffering and struggle far greater than our own.

There is so much love, grace & mercy to experience.

Why, do we live so small?

I mean, we don’t need a lot of money to experience Beauty, Pleasure, Peace or Giving,

These joys are right at our fingertips

There is however, one thing we can be sure of; there are always second chances to love better and make a difference in other people’s lives

Moreover, the infinite GOD…GOD

The loving GOD, one in whom I believe I have experienced and know...

“What do you say?” “You mean the ironic reality is we can’t be sure of knowing God?”

“How discouraging is that?”

“We can’t be sure of God.”

But…if we look at ourselves in the mirror, or look at our hands, we can be sure of the blood flowing through our bodies,

The breath coming up out of our lungs,

And the love we feel in our hearts and souls.

Can’t we be sure of ourselves, in this moment?

Even the wrestling within ourselves, point right back to us.

So, in that moment if we have life; we have ourselves, we have our hope, we have our dreams. I think we also have our belief and our faith.

If all of these things are brewing inside of us, I choose to believe that God is right there in the midst of us.

You see with God, with Jesus, with Yeshua, with Yahweh things don’t seem so overwhelming.

We can drop the selfish ego and embrace the calling of expressing God’s love in the world.

I sense that God makes this world of chaos, unknowing and mystery; seem a little less evasive, overpowering or uncontrollable.

It is no coincidence that Beauty can be found in a smile.

That Pleasure can be found in cool water running in between your toes.

That Peace can be found looking up into a starry night’s sky.

Or, that Giving can be found leaving your fingertips or lips.

You realize that in not knowing, there is so much more to learn, to love, to know, to give and to live for.

Therefore, if these Grand things exist all around us, without our help, then it can be presumed that God is crafting all these things for us to enjoy, and experience in the very moments we may feel the lowest. We can also take the view off ourselves and our own problems to experience greatness and pass that greatness on to others.

I know that at the end of the day we all have a mind of our own,

Just know that the Unknown can be great,

Just like the infinite God.
