After practice, Coach Bruce Arena joked around with the press stating that David Beckham still needed work with his kicking and passing. Also adding that the club will keep an eye out for him.
Beckham was simply there to work out with his old teammates, who greeted him and enjoyed the practice with the English star.
New LA Galaxy players were also excited to see Beckham. New goalkeeper from Panama, Jaime Penedo, enjoyed the practice with a player of high caliber.
Penedo joked around by saying that he wanted a picture with Beckham.
The players and the coach of the Galaxy are very happy that David Beckham stays in touch with the Angeleno club.
Is this a sign that Beckham might return? Maybe not as a player, because Beckham has made it clear that he is done on the field.
Maybe David will come back as an owner? He did say that he wanted to be part of the MLS as an owner when he left the Galaxy back in December after winning the second straight MLS Cup.
What about as a coach? Who knows? If his presence provides a boost for the players, then let him train with the Galaxy as much as he pleases.
In time, Galaxy fans will see what happens with this relationship that David Beckham has with the Angeleno team.
After all, he is staying in touch with the team for some important reason! Hopefully!
