Whoopi Goldberg, one of the rare entertainers to ever "EGOT," which means winning Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony awards, will make her only South Florida appearance when she brings her new stand-up comedy act to the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami.

Goldberg will perform one night only -- Saturday, March 1 in the Knight Concert Hall.

"Broadway, movies, stand-up, sitcoms, talk shows and radio shows...Whoopi Goldberg has conquered it all," said John Richard, president and CEO of the Arsht Center. "Ms. Goldberg's prestigious accolades speak volumes about her talent and we look forward to welcoming her back to our stage for what is sure to be a sold-out evening," he added.

Ever since her breakthrough role in "The Color Purple" in 1985, Goldberg has dominated the entertainment world. She has appeared in 150 films and has hosted the Academy Awards multiple times, as well as being honored for her humanitarian efforts. She has won a Grammy for her original recording, "Whoppi Goldberg," and has taken home an Academy Award for "Ghost," has won both nighttime and daytime Emmys, and she was also awarded a Tony as producer of "Thoroughly Modern Millie."
