Whole Foods is a growing chain of specialty/healthy food and beverage stores with several locations in the greater Houston area. The Woodway location recently enhanced its specialty department and wants to celebrate the occasion with an event designed for beer aficionados and others who are curious about the Texas craft beer scene. When: Saturday, Feb. 4, from 12pm to 4pm
Why: To sample some Texas craft beer and learn a few things in the process.
This event is all about Texas and its growing craft beer industry. Brew masters from St. Arnold Brewery, Independence Brewing, and Real Ale Brewing will facilitate the educational side of the event, answering questions and sharing facts about brewing beer, tasting beer, and the craft beer industry in general. Samples of a few select products from each brewery will be available for enjoyment and assessment.
For those who prefer the fruit of the vine, Whole Foods Market will offer a wine tasting on Sunday, February 5, from 12pm to 2pm. Whole Foods will showcase some new wines as well as offer old favorites at the tasting, providing wine lovers with a nice warm- up before heading out to Super Bowl festivities later in the day.
