According to an article by Susanna Kim of ABC News Animal Prints are not appropriate everywhere, no matter how stylish. Chessington World of Adventures Resort near London England has a zero- tolerance ban on animal print clothing which they say may confuse the animals on its grounds.
The banned prints include; zebra, giraffe, leopard, cheetah, tiger, spotted hyena, striped hyena and African wild dog.
The resort contends that the prints can cause reactions among the rhinos and giraffes at its off road safari attraction Zufari as well as causing reactions from other animals around the resort.
Robert Hilsenroth executive director of American Association of Zoo Veterinarians commented “A leopard print, as an example might excite some gazelles because they recognize inherently that they should avoid them” he also commented that there was no scientific evidence of this effect but he predicted that other zoo’s would consider the policy of banning animal prints in the future, and commented that no zoo’s in the United States have banned the prints thus far.
So the fashion tip for today is don’t wear animal prints to the zoo you may look confusing to a member of the animal kingdom. You may confuse a zebra by being dressed like one.
