Peter Dundas for Emilio Pucci has proved to be a favorite amongst the stars these days. His fall 2011 RTW line focused more on bust lines than on his usual bare leg reigns. His line consisted of hourglass hugging dresses, long sleeves, and cut out necklines with little collars or bows. When you hear cut outs or hugging hourglass dresses who comes to mind? Beyonce? Jennifer Lopez? Actually both are huge fans but weren’t caught in the same dress thank goodness!
Jennifer Lopez chose this one shoulder beaded emerald gown from Pucci’s fall 2011 RTW line to wear to the BAFTA Awards. After having two kids and at the age of 42, she can still pull off a cut out gown to flaunt her abs. This isn’t really something I would have chose to wear to meet the future King and Queen of England who were also attending the event, but there’s not many gowns I recall that did ever cover her abs or legs. If she chose to cover herself up I think that would have actually surprised everyone. I thought she looked elegant, sexy, and confident with her body.
Olivia Wilde was styled to wear this same gown for the August 2011 issue of Marie Claire magazine. She looked absolutely stunning for the spread. I loved the slicked back ultra chic hairstyle done for Wilde, it made her look very 50’s inspired. The emerald green long sleeve Pucci gown really accentuated her pale skin and high cheekbones.
Drew Barrymore is the new model for the “Art of Fashion” campaign for Neiman Marcus’s fall look book. She modeled for designers such as Carolina Herrera, Gucci, and Emilio Pucci. Between the photography done by Norman Jean Roy and the set she exemplified the very part of ‘Perfect Hollywood.’ Along with our other gorgeous ladies she was photographed in Pucci’s emerald gown showing off her abs as well. I don’t think she’s ever looked better! Her body looks incredible and revealing in this cut out but I think it’s the contrast of her fire red hair that really perfects the look.
The best look for me was obviously hard considering each woman looked the very part of a goddess in this Pucci creation. The only thing to compare is the hair difference. I’d have to say I just love Barrymore’s fire red hair bouncing off the emerald green gown. She proved even after being in show business for over 25 years she just keeps getting better with age.
