Country superstars Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton made quite the team at the 2013 ACM Awards last April. In fact, they were such a hit that they will be reprising their hosting duties for the 2014 awards, according to a People report dated Tuesday, Dec. 3.
Aside from their singing talent, both men are known for their big personalities. They are fan favorites, and if they don’t have their audience singing along, they have them laughing instead.
Predictably, the hosting duo poked a lot of fun at each other last year.
"Congratulations, buddy, you won entertainer of the year in your first – and last – year of co-hosting the ACM Awards," Shelton told Bryan following his big win at the 2013 awards.
Looks like Shelton the jokester is going to have to eat his words, as Bryan will be accompanying him on the big stage yet again.
However, Blake was not dealing with an unarmed man. Bryan pulled a few punches of his own. For example, before welcoming Blake to the stage, he said: "Recently, Miranda Lambert found a puppy on the side of the road, all shivering and wet with no food and no place to sleep … which is pretty much how she found Blake."
While this will be Bryan’s second year co-hosting, this will be Blake’s fourth. Reba McEntire was a reoccurring ACM host in previous years.
With Shelton and Bryan's thriving careers, it is reasonable believe that they just may be a mainstay on the ACM stage for a while?
The 49th annual ACM Awards which will be broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas will air on April 6.
