When a vehicle allegedly traveling at a high rate of speed slammed into a school bus at Castor Ave and Lycoming Street yesterday, March 28 2014 it set in motion a series of events that may have serious consequences for two Pennsylvania residents.

According to witnesses at the scene the bus was traveling on Lycoming St. when the car is reported to have sped up and tried to go around the bus. No students on the bus sustained any serious injury. A few were transported to local hospitals.

Within seconds after the impact, witnesses said that the two occupants of the car got out of the car and by the time time police arrived, witnesses and the children on the bus said that one man named Josh was driving. The problem with that is ,the two occupants of the car swear that Aaron Nye, of Coal Twp. was the driver. Now police have an investigation on their hands to determine who was really the driver. If the two men are found to have lied to the police, they may face criminal charges, one officer said.

Both men were seen at the scene texting on their cell phones after the crash and walking around , chain smoking cigarettes. The parents of some of the children were observed yelling at the two men. Josh had abrasions to his face while Nye had none. The crash impacted the drivers side of the car.

The roads around the crash scene were closed for about two hours for the investigation. If you saw this crash you are urged to contact Accident Investigation at (215) 685-3180.http://www.phillypolice.com/
