Having just looked at what the Golden Globe Award winners were wearing at the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards on January 13, 2013 in Beverly Hills, California, here’s a close look at some stunning designer gowns worn by actresses and other A-listers...
Jennifer Garner, who was sure to mention the people husband Ben Affleck had forgotten in his acceptance speech, looked amazing in her strapless deep red beaded gown by Vivienne Westwood, accessorized with gold and diamond hoop earrings.
Actress Nicole Kidman, attending with husband singer Keith Urban in his tuxedo, looked stunning in a diamante embellished black gown with unusual linear detailing at the waist by Alexander McQueen.
Fellow Aussie Naomi Watts looked equally amazing in her long-sleeved deep burgundy fishtail gown with an added train. A matching burgundy clutch bag completed the look.
The spotted black dress on Rachel Weisz, reportedly by Louis Vuitton, was interesting in that it was the juxtaposition of a strapless black mini dress with a bow at the waist and a cap sleeved Swiss dot gown!
Kate Hudson’s Alexander McQueen gown was definitely inspired by Hollywood’s Golden Age and included gold detailing at the neckline and the waist with jeweled clasps.
George Clooney looked sharp in his tuxedo and bowtie, attending with girlfriend Stacy Keibler in her black strapless bandeau gown by Armani Prive.
Lena Dunham’s gorgeous deep plum off-shoulder gown with cascading pleats and folds at the bodice and hips was by American designer Zac Posen.
Singer Taylor Swift too was in deep plum, a stunning fishtail gown with a long train by Donna Karan. Jeweled drop earrings completed the look.
Miranda Kerr wowed in her halter-neck burgundy gown with a plunging V-neckline by Zuhair Murad, while husband Orlando Bloom attended in a satin lapel tuxedo sans tie. The couple also attended the After Party at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Click here to see what the hotel was going to have as its menu.

The simple yet elegant two-piece beaded white strapless ensemble on actress Anne Hathaway was by Chanel couture.
Zooey Deschanel and Jessica Alba both chose Oscar de la Renta, while Claire Danes, attending with husband Hugh Dancy, looked lovely in her red halter-neck gown by Versace.
Last but now least, actress Julianne Moore looked elegant in her black and white color-blocked gown by Tom Ford.
