'Who shot J.R.?': Patrick Duffy knows the answer

As fans of “Dallas” are asking “Who shot J.R.?”, Patrick Duffy, who stars as Bobby Ewing on TNT's “Dallas” is coming clean and admitting he knows who shot his brother. According to a March 11 report by The Hollywood Reporter, “Dallas” producers shared the secret with Patrick Duffy.

Unfortunately, Patrick Duffy is not revealing the answer to the question “Who shot J.R.?” Not only can he not tell members of the media, he is also sworn to secrecy with the other “Dallas” cast members.

There are only two hints that Patrick Duffy is allowed to reveal. The first one being the fact that Bobby Ewing did not shoot J.R. The second secret is that the mystery of “Who shot J.R.?” will be revealed this season.

Whether you loved J.R., hated J.R. or whether you loved to hate J.R., fans of “Dallas” and J.R. are expected to watch in record numbers tonight. Tonight's episode will be the funeral of J.R. Former cast members from the original “Dallas” will be arriving to mourn (or celebrate) the death of J.R.

Fans are sure to watching for clues as to who shot J.R. It is unknown if those clues will be revealed in tonight's episode or if fans will have to stay tuned to learn who the shot J.R.

In addition to tonight's episode being the funeral of J.R., a special tribute is planned for Larry Hagman, the actor who made J.R. one of the most beloved villains on television. Larry Hagman lost his battle with cancer last November. The producers of “Dallas” chose not to recast the role, opening the door for another “Who shot J.R.?” cliffhanger.
