Love 'em, hate 'em, don't give a rat's behind? This is one of today's hot topics, and Julia, Donny, and Stephanie Hansen (Weekly Dish, filling in for Lori) of Lori and Julia on MyTalk 107.1 were trying to frantically brainstorm answers to this on the show when the subject turned to Kanye. He basically proposed to Kim in the Giants baseball stadium in California. It supposedly cost 200 grand to rent the place, 50 grand to pay the orchestra ($100 per member per hour), etc. Kanye did ask Kim's mom for permission to marry her - normally it's the father who gets asked, but Bruce Jenner is not the Kardashians' real dad.
The other "narcissistic couples" who came up were Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton and Speidi, being Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag of The Hills from back in the day. Maybe in effort not to be misquoted, maybe from being put on the spot, but the trio could not come up with anything else.
The engagement somehow leads us to crows, and... the taste of them. As it turns out, Wendy Williams made a promise to her fans and audience that she will "eat crow" if Kanye and Kim get married. She won't do it the day it happens, but... 73 days into their union (why that very number is a mystery). She claims crows are a delicacy in Lithuania, where it's often boiled in a crock pot, according to USA Today, and she will only eat it if it's prepared by someone who "knows what they're doing like Wolfgang Puck or Bobby Flay or somebody." ...or somebody. That's Wendy for ya. Can't wait to see Wendy Williams taste crow... Actually, I can, in fact it's not much a spectacle at all. Food is food. But her loyal fans will undoubtfully see it as an honor.
Now onto Jennifer Lopez, who Julia teases "has to say something always, once a month." The world's most beautiful woman, as voted by People magazine, was once told she wasn't... well... beautiful enough. According to USA Today, back when JLo was on In Living Color with Jim Carey, she mentioned to Cosmopolitan for Latinos magazine that back then - everyone was pushing her to change her body, but she refused. Back in the Bronx where she lives she claims everyone accepted her the way she was and she blended in more than... one would assume - on the set of her movies and TV shows. Julia says that JLo claims this attitude has helped her throughout her career and as a single mom.
So, that's what's happening out there. Thanks for reading!
