After a successful event in Ocean City Maryland this past summer it's time for the Dew Tour's fall event. Like last year the Dew Tour's second shin dig will go down in sunny San Francisco. To call it a shin dig is proper. The Dew Tour has always been bigger then a contest series. They bill it as a festival but they feel more like an extreme carnival. For the public the San Fran stop will have rides like Mongoose BMX pump track and other official Dew Tour fan courses.
To add to the carnival atmosphere the higher ups at the Dew Tour always book a top notch musical act, this year they booked 'Common'. Who has gained much notoriety not only for his musical career and Grammy win but also for visiting the Obama's in the White House.
In Dew Tour skate related news the Toyota City Championships will have a course that pays homage to San Francisco's legendary skate spots like the Hubba Hideout and the China Banks. On the new course will be last years champ Ryan Sheckler, defending his title. Ryan is a talented skateboarder that adapts well and goes big. The only problem I see in his future is Curren Caples. Curren had an exceptionally strong performance at the Munich X Games. He's young, well rounded and is just as consistent on his board as Ryan. This is going to be an epic battle for the win.
