Heather Clem was living on the edges of fame until Thursday, October 4. That's the day the Hulk Hogan sex tape scandal erupted on the web. By Friday, her name became one of the most popular search terms on Google. Who is she?
This is probably not the way she would have wanted to become famous, and, in truth, it's still not certain that Heather Clem is the "mystery woman" who appears in the grainy, black and white video which was posted to Gawker.com.
But, according to a report which was published by ContactMusic.com on Friday, whether she is the woman on the video or not, insiders close to the story are claiming she's "devastated" and "embarrassed" by the scandal. That's pretty persuasive evidence. Why would she even care otherwise?
The facts are these: Heather Clem is the ex-wife of Todd Alan Clem, aka "Bubba The Love Sponge" who is a radio DJ based in Florida and formerly Hulk Hogan's BFF from the days when Bubba covered Hogan's wrestling career on radio and did many exclusive backstage interviews with the Hulkster at his matches.
The Clems divorced in September of 2011 after more than four years of marriage. Heather Clem has a daughter from a previous marriage. It's not clear when the Hulk Hogan sex tape was made, so it's not known whether or not, if Heather Clem was the woman in the video, either one was married at the time.
So far, there has been no official denial from Heather Clem that she is the mystery woman. But a look at the few pictures posted to the web explains why Hulk Hogan was anxious to have a tryst with her. She's one beautiful woman.
Check out the slideshow of the images posted to the web so far. It's very likely that number will grow in the days and weeks to come. In other words, Heather Clem is about to get even more famous, whether she wanted to or not.
What do you think? Is Heather Clem the "mystery woman" in the Hulk Hogan sex tape?
