Wondering when "Doctor Who" will return to BBC America? The answer was given on Wednesday: The Doctor will return to airwaves with the second half of season seven on March 30, slightly earlier than the vague April fans were promised before.
The new episodes will debut Jenna-Louise Coleman as the Doctor's new companion, Clara. Coleman was introduced in the latest Doctor Who Christmas Special, "The Snowmen," but mystery abounds. In some series, the fact that Clara looked a lot like the mysterious Oswin Oswald (also played by Coleman in the "Asylum of the Daleks") would be discounted.
Instead it appears that Clara and Oswin Oswald are connected. The mystery of that connection will be a focal point of the rest of season seven.
The trailer below shows us that The Doctor (Matt Smith) has to find out "who she is," meaning Clara. Clara is to be known as “the woman twice dead” (once as Clara and once as Oswin Oswald), replacing Amy Pond, "the girl who waited."
Who or what is Clara? Showrunner Steven Moffat will almost certainly make the trip to the answer as entertaining as possible.
