If you missed any part of tonight's two-hour The Bachelor 2013 episode, we can hook you up with a quick recap. Find out who got the dates, who got the roses and who got sent home on The Bachelor 2013 (Season 17, Week 2) tonight (Jan. 14) right here below the jump.
Be warned, if you're waiting to watch the episode later on your DVR, this is full of as many details as our brains could handle before going into reality competition dating overload.
Bachelor Sean Lowe had a bevy of 19 beauties to choose from as this week's episode kicked off, but three of these women would be gone by the end of ABC's two-hour block. But we're getting ahead of ourselves. Let's begin with the first date card.
Who Got Sent Home on 'The Bachelor' 2013 This Week: Season 17, Week 2 Recap (Jan. 14)
Sean chose Sarah, a 26-year-old ad-exec from Los Angeles who was born with one arm amputated at the elbow by her own umbilical cord. Sarah cleared the air during the premiere, and both she and Sean seemed totally fine with discussing her disability. On this week's episode, Sean picked Sarah up by helicopter in front of more than a dozen very jealous bachelorettes. The two then did a free-fall off a 350-foot-high building in downtown L.A. after Bachelor Sean convinced Sarah it was safe and that they would be doing it together.
Later, the two shared dinner, wine and a kiss, and Sarah got a rose. However, don't read too much into that, as we watched Sean kiss several women during The Bachelor 2013 Week 2 episode. (Bachelor Sean Lowe is pretty cute, don't get us wrong, but we still think this whole process is a little nutty. But that's why the fans love it!)
Leslie M., 25, went back in and stole her kiss from Sean after failing to entice him into making the first move during her brief one-on-one time on the group date that followed his date with Sarah. During the group date, the ladies and their bachelor were involved in a photo shoot for Harlequin romance novels. The winner, Kristy, 25, snagged a steamy moment with Bachelor Sean, not to mention a contract for three book covers. Even the other girls, who were equal parts awkward, catty, supportive, and turned on during their own shots with Sean, couldn't deny Kristy took charge and owned that shoot, earning her win fairly. "That was hot," said some of her competitors as they watched Kristy vamp it up.
At the end of the 13-girl group date, only one lady got a rose: Kacie B. Mostly, Sean said, for having the courage to go through the Bachelor/Bachelorette process again, as Kacie was cast on a previous season of The Bachelor, which obviously didn't work out. During the group date, 27-year-old Katie decided to leave the competition, becoming the first woman of the episode who got sent home on The Bachelor 2013 (Season 17, Week 2) this week, even though she really sent herself home. Sean walked her out like a gentleman and it was all quite friendly.
The next one-on-one date went to Desiree, and she couldn't have been more excited. Sean started off the date with an elaborate prank at an art gallery to test Desiree's good-nature, and she handled it like a champ. Later, they had dinner and went swimming at sean's place, aka The Bachelor mansion, and got along really well. Again, a rose and kissing. Yawn. Seriously, though, Desiree is our favorite so far. She's really freaking cute.
Now, it is time to reveal who got sent home on The Bachelor 2013 (Season 17, Week 2) during this week's rose ceremony: after Bachelor Sean Lowe offered the final rose to Amanda (whom Desiree can't stand, by the way), Brooke and Diana were left standing empty-handed. They walked themselves out to their limos to lament their situations as they rode off into the dark California night.
