'Who Framed Roger Rabbit' star Bob Hoskins dead at 71

Best known for his role in the movie, "Who Framed Roger Rabbit", British actor Bob Hoskins has passed away at the age of 71 following complications from Parkinson's Disease and Pneumonia.

The famed actor announced two years ago that he was retiring from the business due to having Parkinson's.

His most recent film appearance was in Snow White and the Huntsman in 2012 and has starred in other films such as, Hook, Neverland, Super Mario Bros.,and British films: Mona Lisa, Brazil, and The Long Good Friday.

Actor Martin Kemp posted on Twitter;

'RIP Bob Hoskins - Long Good Friday [is] one of the best movies ever made. You will be missed.'

He was nominated for an Oscar for his role in Mona Lisa in 1986 but became well known to many for his role as Eddie Valiant in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit"

Parkinson's is a disease that affects the brain and gets worse over the years. It can cause shaking and tremors, stiffness and will also slow down movement physically.

Michael J. Fox and Muhammad Ali are two well known actors who also have the disease.

Bob is survived by his wife Linda and four children, Alex, Sarah, Rosa, and Jack who were with him when he passed in the hospital. They said he died peacefully and thanked everyone for their prayers and well wishes.

Wife Linda said;

"We are devastated by the loss of our beloved Bob."

He will be greatly missed.
