A new website called Who Can I Sue was reviewed by the Today Show this morning, and has been catching media attention lately because many people want to know who they have the right to sue and why, without expending money to an attorney.
Some people claim that this just gives people one more reason to file a lawsuit, but the creators of the site who were on The Today Show this morning said that it actually may help to bring the number of lawsuits that are filed down.
For example, if a person is bit by a dog they would click on dog bite, then the website will ask a series of questions to determine if that person has a claim or not. Were they on someone else’s property when the dog bit you? If so, then they were trespassing and would not have a case in court. However, if the person has a case, the website can help them find an attorney in their area.
