I don't know about you but, have you checked the people you are surrounding yourself with. Have you ever wondered if the people you were associating with are helping or hindering you from being all that you could be? I think we all have at one point or another had these thoughts. I think that you must often do a circle check and make sure that the people around you are genuine and supportive of you. You can be so trusting and desire the approval of others until you forget that you are responsible for the life you create. You must always take 100% responsibility for your life, knowing that what you desire you must work for and that you must surround yourselves with like minded, authentic and loyal individuals. Throughout your life you will come across hundreds of people and you must be able to decipher who wants to be a part of your life simply because they like you and the ones who want to be around you for what you can do for them. Now don't get me wrong, we all expect something from the people in our lives or we would not want to be connected with them. I think that relationships must be mutually beneficial and satisfying. I also know that as you are getting to know the people you meet, you will then be able to know for the most part, who will and won't add value to your life.
It is important that you really know who you are andwant you need, so that the people youallow in your circle contribute to making you beeter and not worse. Sometimes you may connect with people for business reasons or for personal ones. Whatever the relationships start off to be, I think that they must all support you in some way. Having caring relationships is so very important to an individual’s emotional wellness. The way to acquire supportive relationships is to be supportive to others as well. Spending time as much time as possible with people who have the qualities that support you and spending time away from individuals who do not have those qualities is the best route to developing supportive relationships. These relationship must serve you for the good and not for the bad. If you connect with someone that brings out the worst in you, this will cause you tremendous grief throught the relationship. If yoiu connect with someone who inspires, motivates, empowers and drives you, your relationship will be one of promise and happiness. Choose your circle wisely because, relationships must be built on trust, honesty, integrity and authenticity in order to grow into lifelng relationship. Let me be clear, you will still encounter problems in great relationships but, I think you would be more willing to work things out with people who have invested in your life and you in their life as well.
Simply put, people need to earn your friendship as you do theirs and if the motives are pure you can have a life full of wonderful, loving, and genuine relationships. The first relationship you must engage in is the one with your self, you must be your best friend first. Here's to your journey of self-discovery.
