After years of requests, the President of the United States finally released the long form of his birth certificate. In an odd statement following the release, Obama said “Now, this issue has been going on for two, two and a half years now.... And I have to say that over the last two and a half years I have watched with bemusement, I’ve been puzzled at the degree to which this thing just kept on going. We’ve had every official in Hawaii, Democrat and Republican, every news outlet that has investigated this, confirm that, yes, in fact, I was born in Hawaii, August 4, 1961, in Kapiolani Hospital.”
I was personally offended by his statement because he was really saying that by holding back his birth certificate and allowing the controversy to brew, he watched dumb Americans with “bemusement”. I don’t understand why he seemed perplexed that so much attention would be paid to the eligibility of the President of the United States. As Americans, we should all make sure that the President of the most powerful country in the world is eligible to hold office.
For more than two years, the President has spent millions of dollars keeping all of his records sealed, including the birth certificate. One of the first acts as President was Executive Order 13489, sealing all of his records. What kinds of secrets about himself is is he hiding?
These records include not only his birth certificate, but his passport, grammar school records, Indonesian records, Columbia College transcripts, Harvard records, etc., Keeping secrets about himself fuels rumors about various aspects of his life. Just one rumor revolves around his adoption in Indonesia. Obama was adopted by Lolo Soetoro in Indonesia, where his name was Barry Soetoro, and according to school records, Barry was a citizen of Indonesia and a Muslim. If this is true, which it is, at what point did Barry Soetoro apply for U.S. Citizenship?
There are many other unanswered questions about college attendance and grades, questionable trips to Pakistan, his mother’s work for the Ford Foundation, a falsified application for his social security number, etc., most of which would be answered if we saw the sealed documents.
Is the birth certificate issue really finished or is this the start of more questions about eligibility? Just hours after its release, graphic artists, using Adobe Illustrator, were able to pull apart the so-called original certificate into layers of different files, deeming it a fake.
Just a few weeks ago, an article in World Net Daily quoted a State of Hawaii official as saying that “Senior officers in the City and County of Honolulu Elections Division told me on multiple occasions that no Hawaii long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate existed for Senator Obama in the Hawaii Department of Health”; also, "and there was no record that any such document had ever been on file in the Hawaii Department of Health or any other branch or department of the Hawaii government."
So who are you really, Mr. President?
