Whitney Houston tribute planned for Grammys

With the stunning news of the death of six time Grammy winner Whitney Houston, an impromptu tribute hit the stage as rehearsals were taking place for this year's show. They have also announced a tribute during the show by Jennifer Hudson.

Now, there will surely be a cloud of sadness as the music world gathers Sunday night. Meanwhile, pre-Grammy parties take place the night before as well.

Houston, who was found dead on the 4th floor of the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif., was to be at the star-studded Clive Davis event. The party was held at the same hotel where she was found dead. Davis addressed the issue at his event, too. "Whitney would have asked that the music go on. And her family said the show should go on," Davis said.

Also, she was rumored (now confirmed by Simon Cowell) to be considered for a judge on "The X Factor" and Thursday night (Feb. 9) she jumped on stage and performed "Yes, Jesus" at a club in L.A.

Others slated to perform are: Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson; The Beach Boys, with Brian Wilson for the first time in years, with Foster The People and Maroon 5; Tony Bennett and Carrie Underwood; Chris Brown; Glen Campbell with the Band Perry and Blake Shelton; The Civil Wars; Coldplay and Rihanna; Foo Fighters; Alicia Keys and Bonnie Raitt; Diana Krall; Bruno Mars; Paul McCartney; Nicki Minaj; Maceo Parker; Katy Perry; Bruce Springsteen And The E Street Band; Taylor Swift and Joe Walsh. There will be a dance/electronica segment featuring Chris Brown, Deadmau5, Foo Fighters, David Guetta, and Lil Wayne.

The awards will be presented live at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on CBS. It will be hosted by LL Cool J.
