Whitney Houston transformed the music world, fashion and style

The words of Whitney Houston’s music spoke to every race, age and gender. She was the “It” in the “It Factor” that many talented people spend their entire careers trying to achieve. Clive Davis truly found a diamond when he found Whitney -a natural talent. As I sit here on February 11, 2012 I can’t help but to think of how Whitney Houston changed the face of music with her dynamic voice, pretty smile and sensational style-didn’t you just love the way she paired a leather jacket with jeans, or dress! Hence, she brought majesty to her videos, never needing a cameo appearance of anyone else. She was a “One Women Show”, a major contributing factor to the evolution of the sound of music during the 80’s and 90’s.

Moreover, I can truly say that this is a day that I will always remember, one of the coldest days in Atlanta Georgia, physically and mentally. The words of her death pierced my soul like a relative that I had just seen yesterday, and by the looks of Facebook and Twitter she had this same effect on millions if not billions of others nationally and internationally. This is interesting because she had not continuously graced us with her presence for years, but continued to be a star that the public wanted to know more about even in her absence.

Whitney had taken a hiatus from music and acting to get back to herself, but let us not forget that she had helped millions find themselves with her inspirational songs such as “Greatest Love of All”, “Look to You”, “Run to You”, and “When you Believe”.  Everybody can see that Whitney song these songs with one goal in mind-To make you believe in the power of your spiritual and physical self.

Our angel could not have went home in a more appropriate month- Black History Month, or on a more appropriate day-The day before the televised show of the Grammy’s. It was my belief that she had come to this world to conquer the face of music…She was at peace with her professional and personal success. GOD BLESS HER SOUL
