One year ago today Whitney Houston died at the age of 48. She encouraged others through her songs. Her sudden death was felt throughout the world. The words of the songs brought hope during challenging times.
Her movie “The Preacher’s Wife” was very encouraging and uplifting. In the move “The Preacher’s Wife” Whitney played the part of the wife of a minister. Both the wife and minister are very discouraged due to challenging problems. They are both trying to help the church and the community but things continue to go wrong. These situations cause them to pray for help. Whitney Houston sings an encouraging song called “Help Is on the Way”. It talks about when you’re discouraged to hold on because help is on the way. It encourages you not to give up. Not to lose hope.
After they pray for help an angel comes to help them. This is a good movie to watch when you need hope and encouragement. It helps you to turn to God and pray when things are hard. Whitney had the ability through song to meet you where you are and help you to go forward. She started singing when she was very young in her church choir. She sung a lot inspirational gospel songs that touched the lives of many.
In this movie she helped to show that just when things seem hopeless they can suddenly turn around for good. All is not lost. This movie can help you to feel that things were going to be alright in spite of what you’re going through.
Whitney Houston has been missed in the music industry and in the lives of all those that heard and were blessed by her songs. Her music will continue to bless others for years to come.
