After legendary singer Whitney Houston was found dead in a Beverly Hills’ Beverly Hilton hotel bathroom on Feb. 11, 2012, a Beverly Hills police sergeant allegedly removed the covering over the corpse and exclaimed, “Damn, she’s still looking good, huh?” according to an ex-SWAT supervisor named Brian Weir, as reported in the New York Daily News on Tuesday.
Weir says that he reported the inappropriate behavior previously, and has been dealt extremely negative consequences since he complained about the incident.
In a legal claim, Weir stated that the sergeant allegedly knelt down, removed the covering over Houston’s body, and took a peek at the naked body and made the inappropriate comments shortly after she was taken in her lifeless condition from the bathtub where she had apparently drowned.
Weir has filed a claim against the Beverly Hills Police Department and the city of Beverly Hills with the allegation that he was retaliated against for having revealed the misconduct. He said that after his complaint was filed he was taken off of the city’s elite SWAT and K-9 units, denied any promotions and training, and stripped of his former-supervisory position.
The Beverly Hills Police Department refuses to comment on the charges. Weir is being represented by attorney Christopher Brizzolara.
Houston’s cause of death was listed as an accidental death by drowning with heart disease and cocaine-use.
