Shocking news is coming out of Los Angeles Saturday afternoon -- only a matter of hours after she was linked to be a future judge on "The X Factor," singer Whitney Houston died at the Beverly Hilton. She was 48 years old.
At this point in time, there are no major details available -- but stay tuned, as we'll have more as they become available.
Before these rumors even started up, Whitney had a legendary career with two Emmys, six Grammys, and countless other awards from the entertainment world to her name. While she had a number of bumps in the road over the past couple of decades away from music, we are going to hold off on speculating on the cause of death for the time being.
Houston will be missed, and thoughts go out to her family.
