News is out that Lifetime has finally picked out someone to play the role of Whitney Houston in their upcoming biopic. On Friday, TV Line shared the news that Yaya DaCosta has been picked up to be in this movie as Whitney. This is a hard role to play and it is one that you do not want to mess up.

This movie will be all about Whitney. It will not just focus on her death but will talk about her relationship with Bobby Brown and also her rise to becoming a super star. Angela Bassett is set to direct this movie. It should be one Lifetime flick that people do not want to miss.

If you are not sure who Yaya DaCosta is, she got her start on the reality TV show "America's Next Top Model." Her career has been great since then and she was even on a few shows such as "House" and "All My Children." This movie is something that could throw her career into a new high.

Wet Paint recently shared what Yaya has been up to since she was on the show. She got married to Joshua Bee Alafia and now has a child. Yaya is not shy about breastfeeding and is a huge supporter. She has been known to share pictures of herself feeding her child and doesn't care at all what people think about it. She is not ashamed of herself one bit. Her Twitter page is active but she hasn't been on there since March.

At this time, the Whitney Houston biopic doesn't have an official date but it will air on Lifetime. Hopefully they will get started filming soon now that Yaya DaCosta has been picked up to play the role of Whitney. This should be an amazing flick all about the singer and actress. Lifetime always does a great job with these movies.
