Whitetail Golf Club's MacDonald takes teaching sessions indoors

A new simulator is in at Whitetail Golf Club and that means the course’s PGA of Canada pro Derek MacDonald has begun to accept bookings for personalized lessons.

MacDonald incorporates V1 Video Analysis Software to guide students as they work together by viewing the swing motion, ball flight, tempo, swing path, club head speed and clubface position at impact.

Whitetail’s instructor records the student’s swing motion on video and uses the V1 software to play it back and highlight the areas that can be improved upon.

Students are able to see the shape of their shots and then practice toward developing more consistency with each club.

When the outdoor season rolls around, players heading to Whitetail Golf Club will take on a showcase of 18 challenging holes that measure 6,496 yards from the back tees.

The track sends players along a shot-making trail that is bordered by the rolling hills of the Ottawa Valley and is located between Renfrew and Pembroke near Eganville.
