Evacuations were in order when an envelope containing a white powdery substance was received at an LA studio that is used for filming Dancing With the Stars.
An rep for CBS released the following statement to the media, saying, "Measures were taken to secure the area and ensure the safety of personnel. Ultimately we were advised by the [Los Angeles Fire Department] that the substance was determined to be talcum powder."

No contestants were rehearsing in the studio at the time of the incident.
Apparently, there were some internet rumors that the letter was intended for DWTS contestant Bristol Palin, but the FBI declined to comment on the rumor.

"Just as in any case, we don't confirm the identity of a victim based on privacy and security concerns," said Laura Eimiller, FBI spokeswoman.
Bristol has created a controversy with some of the show's viewers because she got into the finals despite consistent low scores. Some refuse to believe that the young contestant is receiving so many votes.

Right after the results show on Tuesday, a man shot his TV because he was not happy that Bristol advanced to the finals, while Brandy got eliminated.
