The latest on the 2010 White Mountain Apache Tribal Election in Whiteriver, Arizona is that it was discovered that numerous Absentee Ballots were mailed by the Election Commission to a corporation office and several tribal members had these absentee ballots in their possession and were seeking the person named on the absentee ballots. A box of absentee ballots was discovered today and several tribal administrators have been implicated, including the Tribe's Treasurer. Tribal Council passed a resolution today,Feb. 1, 2010, to bar all absentee ballots from being counted.

So, those of us who live off of that political sewer of a place called tribal executive, legislative branches, OUR votes don't count? How pathetic and sorry is that? Also, I believe Free Speech is a joke and we need an independent newspaper that exists to inform the people about how absurd our political realm is in White Mountain.

JUST THINK BACK ON ALL THE PAST ELECTIONS WERE THEY ALL SABATOGED WITH ABSENTEE BALLOTS? WELL I GUESS THATS POLITICS FOR YOU. I THINK THE PEOPLE THAT HAD THOSE ABSENTEES BALLOTS THAT WERE CAUGHT RED HANDED SHOULD BE FIRED FROM THEIR POSITIONS THEY HOLD WITHIN THE TRIBE. COME ON TRIBAL COUNCIL GET RID OF THEM. OH I FORGET THE PRESENT COUNCIL MEMBERS MIGHT OF BEEN VOTED IN WITH THE ABSENTEE BALLOTS IN THE PAST SO THEY WON'T GET RID OF THE PEOPLE THAT WERE CAUGHT. THEY MIGHT HAVE SOMETHING ON THESE COUNCILMEMBERS. SO ITS ALL FRAUD . LATER PEACE AND PRAYERS TO ALL.

The White Mountain Apache Tribe shouldn't have council members. Honestly, all they do is get new vehicles, new cell phones, and they get paid way more than they should be getting paid. They say "I want to help my people" but they aren't helping the tribe they are just putting the tribe in more debt and embarrassing us with their past. I don't want awful people to represent the tribe, during election they put each other down and write columns in the Apache Scout about how "oh so good they are" and most of them don't know how to write well. Do we really want that for our tribe? Well I don't.
